Garden Duty

Today was a little different from the usual workday—no meetings, no screens, just sunshine, soil, and a whole lot of teamwork. My company organized a volunteering day at a local community garden, and we dug, pulled weeds, hauled wood, and built things (not always gracefully, but we got there). It was hands-on in the truest sense—and honestly, pretty satisfying to see real progress as the hours flew by.

I also had the lucky task of painting signs for the garden, which offered a welcome moment of calm between the shovels and wheelbarrows. I hope people will enjoy them as they walk by.

There was laughter, good chat, and the shared satisfaction of making something better than we found it.
