Winter snuggles

January is, for many, a bleak month. The holidays are over; it’s cold, grey, and missing the warmth of festive anticipation. I’ve always loved it, though—not just because it’s my birthday month, but because it brings a sense of fresh air and quiet possibility, a feeling that anything could begin.

If you’re firmly in the camp of January skeptics, I hope you’re still carving out moments to snuggle up and enjoy the very legitimate option of staying in. It’s something I fully embrace in winter—and something I strangely struggle with in summer, when all I want is to be outside.

Whether the artist intended it or not, these sweet snowman installations feel like a reminder that winter is cozy season. Best enjoyed slowly, warmly, and ideally in the company of your favourite person, family, or friends.
