There are some New York views everyone has seen somewhere—on a postcard, in a movie, or in real life. For me, it’s this one. Even though I’ve only been here once before, it somehow feels instantly familiar: the Brooklyn Bridge stretching across the East River with downtown Manhattan rising just behind.
The walking paths along the DUMBO riverfront invite you to pause and take it all in—the sweep of the bridge, the sharp lines of the skyline, blue skies overhead, ferries and boats moving along the water. And if you manage to tune out the constant chatter of people, there’s the quieter rhythm of waves against the rocks.
A Saturday well spent—shifting perspectives, having some fun along the water, and finding calm in the middle of skyscrapers and buzz.
