MoMA

The Museum of Modern Art has an extraordinary collection of modern and contemporary art.

When contemplating especially the newer pieces, I cannot help but wonder if, like my British friends would call it, the artists are taking the mickey out of us viewers.

In my eyes, some of those installations, paintings, sculptures and other things considered art, are outright weird. But I guess art is about just that: provoking some kind of reaction.

I personally much rather turn to the classics, which, albeit peculiar in their own ways, clearly represent artistic versatility and extraordinary talent. Game-changing for the whole development of modern art such like Picasso for example…

And the museum exhibits a few of those big names such like Van Gogh, Klimt and Matisse, so I definitely got my money’s worth after all 😉
