Here we go again

Another city, another restart.

Besides sorting out the obvious like signing a lease, finding your bearings and figuring out where to do your grocery shopping, a big part is also finding your new network of service providers and – more importantly- doctors.

I was lucky to get a recommendation for a dentist and was surprised to learn that the practice is located in the Rockefeller building where I was greeted by the Greek Titan Atlas in the courtyard.

Atlas carries the heavens on his shoulders and his strained expression indicates the effort with which he holds up the weight of humanity.

A little bit how I feel at the moment sorting out my healthcare providers (and don’t get me started on finding a hairstylist!) 😉

  2. I suggest the opposite, fly to Europe for the weekend, go to Mom‘s hairstylist and enjoy a short brake for the same price. That‘s the advantage of being closer to home now…..

  3. oh weh, ich glaube, einen Friseur aus Berlin einfliegen zu lassen, ist günstiger, als in New York zu einem zu gehen😉
